Mr Andrew (Andy) Labute

Andy Labute has been with SAP for 13+ years and is now based in Singapore.  He is currently the Interim Global Lead HR Advisors and is also in the HR Project Office team for SAP where he oversees global HR projects and the post-merger integrations activities in APJ.  Prior to that he was the Director, Transformation Program APJ. Before that Andy was the head of HR for SAP Australia and New Zealand where he worked with the senior leadership team to create and execute the business and people strategy. He started his career at SAP as the HR Lead for Post-Merger Integrations at SAP where he led the integration of 18 acquired companies.

Andy’s past experience in Canada includes VP, HR for Triversity Inc.; Director of HR for Bell Globemedia Interactive; Senior Director of Human Resources for Microforum Inc.; Chapters Inc. (and later Chapters Online Inc.).   Andy began his HR career at Burger King Canada, where, for three years, he was a member of the Training and Development team.  While in that role, he created and developed a number of soft skills training programs for the management and franchise community and became one of the few facilitators in North America qualified to present Burger King’s primary people management workshop. He also spent four years as an HR Manager there with responsibilities for Western Canada.  This experience has given him exposure to the hospitality, retail, telecom and software industries.

Andy is passionate about the role HR can play in the business and has been recognized by many as a leader and innovator in the field of HR.  He has always had a solid orientation towards the bottom line.  He has also developed several Performance Management programs in the past.

Andy is Past Chair of the Compensation Committee for the Toronto Board of Trade and he is an accomplished public speaker having been a keynote speaker at numerous workshops in the Toronto area as well as Australia and Singapore.

Ms Angela Law

Angela Law is Senior Vice President of Human Resources (HR), Asia & Oceania Administration Department of Mizuho Bank. In her role, she has had the opportunity to be a business partner and lead teams in Talent Management, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Shared Services and Graduate Recruitment at the bank. 

 

Angela has a Master's Degree of Science in Human Resource Management from the University College Dublin, National University of Ireland; a Bachelor Degree in Arts & Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore as well as a Diploma in Business Administration & Marketing.

Mr John Augustine Ong

A forward thinking and progressive people developer, John has 20 years of experience in both Learning & Development and Business Development roles, mainly in the Financial Sector. He is currently the Regional Learning Lead at ANZ Bank overseeing the learning needs of Hong Kong and Singapore, two of ANZ’s full service markets in the Asia Pacific region. He is responsible for in-country Core and Strategic curriculum and Talent Development programmes for HiPos and emerging talent and has led the ANZ Bank’s Learning team to multiple HR Excellence Awards over the past three years. Prior to that, John has worked in financial institutions such as Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC and Aberdeen Asset Management, where he played a key role in the successful rollout of several high impact people initiatives in Leadership Development and Organization Development.

Brajesh is a regional HR leader with experience spanning across Asia Pacific, Greater China, Japan, Middle East, and Africa. Grace Zhu has a successful track record of over 15 years as an experienced learning advisor in customer service and contact center industry. Deep experienced in learning needs analysis, learning solutions/initiatives design and development, and learning effectiveness/business impact measurement.

 

Her current work focuses on closely engaged with line mangers and HRBP to understand the support agents performance challenges, partnership with Global L&D and vendor training team to develop the best-fit learning solutions for the most effective learning applications for Windows and Devices customer support in Asia at Microsoft.

Isaiah Das is the Head of HR, Capital Resolution APAC for the Royal Bank of Scotland. Ms Renu Kanapathy
